Welcome to the DeSoto East Junior High Athletic Department.

DeSoto ISD is proud to have one of the most successful athletic programs in the state of Texas.  Year in and year out the Eagles are winning championships at every level.  The 2002 7th grade A football team was runner-up in the district.  The 2003 8th grade A boys and the 2004 8th grade A girls basketball teams were runner-ups in the district.  The 2005 7th grade A Boys basketball team won the district with a 14-0 record and repeated as 8th graders with a 13-0 record. 

East athletes continue their success while moving up into the high school program.  They are a mainstay in playoff contention every year.  The boys basketball program produced a state championship in 2003 and runner-up in 2005.  The 2004 Boys Track Team placed second in the state, with a 4X200 state championship trophy.  A large number of our athletes receive scholarships to major universities.  East is committed to excellence in academics and athletics as we soar into the future.
